Pray for her little heart

A few months ago, I had the privilege of photographing Rylynn , her parents  wanted to do this session before her sickness progressed.  I will never forget that day.  She is truly a gift from God.  Please pray for her little heart.

Rylynn really needs our prayers tonight.    Rylynn’s Mom has been my sister’s best friend since elementary school.   Therefore, I feel like I have know Andrea and her dear family forever.  Two years ago Andrea and her husband Gilly, welcomed this precious baby girl into the world.  Rylynn was born with a rare heart condition called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome.  She has had one procedure after another, has been on medication since the day she was born, but still remains a beautiful, vibrant/spunky 2 year old.   She is in need of a heart transplant.  Earlier this year Andrea and Gilly had to sell their home in order to relocate to be near the hospital that would be doing the transplant  in the event that they would get the call that she had received a donor heart.  As of yet, that has not happened.  Andrea and Gilly have remained optimistic and have taken each and every moment day by day.  Time is of the essences now and Ry’s condition has worsen and she has been hospitalized.  Andrea updated today they have made the decision to go with a procedure, in which she described in her blog.  Just minutes ago, Gilly updated that the surgery was bumped from Friday to tomorrow due to Ry’s condition.  She will be in surgery all day long.   Andrea and Gilly & both of their families are strong Christians and they are asking for everyone to pull together and pray for their sweet baby girl.   Please pray for God’s comfort, wisdom, and peace.

Being able to share and capture a couple’s wedding day is an absolute honor.  Being able to share those  intimate moments with the couple and their family is simply indescribable.    I love observing and capturing the huge range of emotions this special day brings about.    Long after the wedding, it’s those moments and details captured that allow the couple to vividly remember their wedding day forever.    Last month I had the privilege of capturing Marie and Josh’s special day from beginning till the end.    They were wed at the beautiful Aristide Event & Conference center.  This incredible venue was modeled after an 18th century Italian church,  it is rich in texture, beautifully decorated, and offers incredible lighting, both natural and artificial.    The wedding was absolutely gorgeous and the details were AMAZING.  Hints of fuchsia, crystals, amazing florals, candlescapes, along with a beautiful bride and a handsome groom made the day complete.   Here’s some images from there big day and a slide.  Enjoy!!

Congrats Marie & Josh!!  Wishing you the very best in your happy ever after.

This session was almost a no go.  As I was getting ready for this session, out of no where came rain clouds.  Now considering we have been in drought mode for sometime now, I could not believe my eyes and was totally caught off guard.  The showers only lasted about 10 mins and then the session was a go because the sun came back out.   We got just enough rain to wet the grass and leaves, which gave them a nice vibrant color because it washed away some of the dust.   So glad this session became a go.   These boys were a hoot, especially the oldest.  He was all about the camera and he posed and he posed and he posed and I successfully captured his fun loving personality.  And the little guy, well don’t those adorable curls and big brown eyes say it all, total sweetness.

Here’s another session from my morning in The Canals.  Are they a cute couple of what?  Seriously, totally adorable and totally in love.    They were in town for a family wedding that I photographed the night before and they set up a session with me on the morning after the wedding.  By the looks of these images, you could never tell that they were up all night, but I on the other hand, well that’s another story.  I think I most definitely looked like I photographed a wedding the night before, ha.   I had so much fun watching these two interact at the wedding and then getting to spend the morning with them the next day.  Here’s a few of my favorites images from the Canals and a few candid shots from the wedding.  As you can see, Ashley caught the bouquet and we all know what the old wives tale says…..
