Sweet, Sweet, Baby!!

Oh my goodness, I’m in love with this sweet baby girl! I recently helped welcome Sweet Baby E into the world by doing an in home photography session. I have known Deanna for years and I was so super excited when she contacted me to come out to their home and capture this special time in their lives. The original plan was to get some images of this new happy family of 4, but Big Sister had other plans. As soon as I arrived, she was ready for her morning nap. So, my motto is to never wake a sleeping baby, so we let Big Sister sleep and I got to focus all of my attention on Mom& Dad, and this beautiful bright-eyed little bundle of joy. Just like Big Sister had her own agenda, so did precious Baby E. She decided that she was not going to sleep and we quickly learned she had no desire to be naked. Being that I am a Mom to 3, I’ve become really flexible over the years and I’ve learned that sometimes you’ve just gotta roll with it and that is exactly what we did. We had a lot of fun and we captured some great images along the way. As we finished up our session, Sweet E finally had enough and went to sleep. Of course, I had not packed my equipment up and I was able to get some shots of her sleeping. There is nothing more precious than a sleeping baby!! Here are a few of my favs….

The Hills Are Alive….

This shoot was a hoot and there were several reasons why! First of all, to see 3 grown adults frolicking and spinning through an over grown field was pretty comical. I couldn’t help, but to sing the chorus from “The Sound of Music.” Needless to say, we got quite a few stares, but we had a blast and I was able to capture exactly what Neiman had in mind for this photo session. Secondly, you should have seen all of the mosquito bites I got from practically laying down in the grass for some of these shots. They most definitely itched, but I just had to laugh because I was covered in red polka-dots for days. However, hearing Neiman’s reaction when she saw the images made every single mosquito bite worth it. These images are super special because Neiman is wearing her Grandmother’s wedding dress and her Grandmother’s wedding ring. This session was a surprise session for Neiman’s Mother. Isn’t that so sweet? Last Spring I photographed this beautiful bride to be and then had the honor of photographing her wedding this past Winter. Being that all of the wedding planning is over and the wedding has come and gone, Neiman’s mother is going to be in complete shock when she is presented with these portraits. The Entire Crew-Just In The Nick Of Time

We had just enough time after we did all of the minis to round up the entire crew for a couple of clicks before we had to head into the church for the wedding rehearsal. We had some pretty wicked heat and sun and not to mention a waiting Priest, but we were able to quickly pull the entire family together before heading into the church to start rehearsal.

Sweet Baby H-The Happiest Baby

On a recent trip to Louisiana, I got to meet our cousin’s precious baby girl for the very first time and she is the happiest baby. She was all smiles and that huge toothless grin just melted my heart. I am thankful that her parents allowed me to get my baby fix in while we were visiting. I swear my babies have grown up too fast and I miss the rolls and wrinkles, the toothless grin, and the intoxicating smell of a baby’s head. It was so wonderful to be reminded of all those beautiful things.

Just wrapped up the last mini session from the fab five and these little minis could have not gone any better. Kathy and Paul were ready to rock when it was their turn and Miss. Meghan is a natural beauty in front of the camera. Here are a few of my favorites from their session. Coming soon, a post on the ENTIRE family, all 16 of them. So neat that we were able to get them all together for a family portrait.

Susan & Floyd’s Wedding

These two lovebirds have know each other since they were kids and their journey to the alter has been one incredible love story. Just watching them on their wedding day gave me the most intense butterflies. I could see, feel, and was able capture these tender and sweet emotions. They are absolutely adorable and it was a privilege and blast to photograph their special day. Congratulations Susan and Floyd. Wishing you a lifetime full of happiness!!

Jordan’s blues sparkle just like her cousins, Sydney and Roman. Grandma and Grandpa are going to love the storyboard of the entire family mixed with some of these images from each families mini session. I can not wait to unveil that surprise to them.

Sweet Baby R-Bluest Eyes in Texas

Recently I had the opportunity to photograph this little sweetheart and let me tell ya, this cutie pie has the bluest eyes in Texas. Seriously, they are really that crisp and blue!
