Earlier this Summer my family and I headed to Rockport to enjoy some fun in the sun with our good friends and celebrate adorable J’s 3rd birthday. Sarah had booked a family beach session with me, but was hesitant to proceed with the session because she didn’t want me to feel like I was “working,” while we were visiting. This is the beauty of doing something that I truly love, it really never feels like work. Don’t get me wrong, the is a lot of work that goes into each and every session, but when you are doing something you love, it just feels different. Therefore, I insisted that we proceed with the session since she had booked it months ago and I’m so glad that we did….

I was super surprised when I came out for J’s 5 month session, that he was almost on the go. Wasn’t it only a few months ago, that I was swaddling this little guy up in his blankie for his newborn session? My oh my, how quickly the milestones come and go. This little guy is determined to master crawling before he is 6 months old. Mom was a little apprehensive at the start of the session because he didn’t take a morning nap, but once we got started there was absolutely nothing to worry about. We rocked, we scooted, and we even rolled. I got down on the floor with him and he proudly showed me his new skills and he let me know real quick that this session was going to consist of lots of smiles, scooting, rocking, and lots of crawling attempts. I simply let him strut his stuff and I am pretty sure once I left he took an awesome nap. I loved every minute of it this session. I loved seeing his reaction, loved seeing the reaction of his parents, and I loved that I was apart of this huge milestone in his life.

I have known this family for years and I was beyond thrilled when they contacted me to do some newborn portraits for their 3rd little blessing. Baby D was an absolute charmer and I just fell in love with him and his older siblings. Big brother and big sister were so much help during the session and I teased Mom and Dad that I found some new assistants and just might take them home with me. Here are a few of my favs from our session. As you can see, this little guy is loved, loved,loved. Welcome to the world precious baby boy.

I just knew from the moment I walked through the door t hat this session was going to be one of those unforgettable sessions. For starters, just look at those eyes and that heart melting smile. Secondly, huge beautiful windows, tons of natural light, and a master landscaped back yard. That is the kind of stuff photographer’s live for!!

As soon as I arrived, Baby E and I got quickly aquainted and we got right down to business. Mom was a little apprehensive on how much happy time we would have so I quickly took advantage of every minute he gave me. Well, let me tell you, this almost 3 month old knows how to ham it up for the camera. Doesn’t that smile just lite up the room?? He was such a super trooper, gave me the best smiles, and was such a happy baby for the entire session. The session ended with a sleeping baby, one very happy Momma, and a beyond thrilled photographer. I love sessions like this. Here are a few more of my many favs…..

Some of our long time dear friends just welcomed a beautiful baby boy into the world and we are beyond thrilled for them. He came into the world a few weeks early, had a short stay in the NICU, and is now doing fantastic and enjoying the wonderful comforts of home. I was over the moon last week when they had me come out for his newborn session. I spent the most relaxed morning with them. I just played and did my thing as they did theirs and went about their morning routine. Little J is a newborn pro. Ya know, he’s got this gig down. He eats, sleeps, and well you know how the rest of the saying goes. Big Sister J was such a huge help. She is an incredible listener and she made an awesome little assistant for me and Mom. She is definitely proud of her new Baby Brother and was willing to help us out. I loved having her so involved. What a fun, fun, fun morning!! Congratulations Aaron and Sarah!!! You have a beautiful and blessed family!!

P.S. note to self…do not drink the water. There are lots of babies going around:-)

My good friends just welcomed their 3rd little princess into the world and I had the honor of capturing their new life together as a family of 5. O f course I had to do the play on their last name for my title post, since this beautiful new little addition now makes them a gorgeous family of 5. I’m sure I am not the only one who will be referring to them as Maroon 5:-) I spent the most incredible morning with them last week and I loved every minute of it. Life is such a miracle, especially when you just stop and look into the eyes of a newborn. So pure and so perfect in every way. Thank you John and Jenn for giving me a little glimpse inside your new little world. It really took me back to the day when Koko arrived and we became a family of 5. It was such a blessing to be able to capture your new life in motion. Congratulations, I am beyond thrilled on your newest arrival and your new life as a family of 5. You guys have truly been blessed.

I can’t think of a better way to start my year off, than starting it off with a newborn session. This handsome little guy was so incredible strong for being only a mere 7 days old. He was such a trooper and took it all in just like Mom and Dad. They were the most relaxed first time parents that I think I have ever met. They are totally in the groove of things and are soaking up every bit of this precious time with their new little guy. I can’t wait to visit them again. Here are a few of my many favorites.
